Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is known for its baobabs and elephants. Baobab trees reach heights of 5 to 30 metres and have extraordinary trunk diameter of 7 to 11 meters. The trees are a spectacular subject for pictures at every time of the day: in the morning with a rising sun, during the afternoon with a deep blue sky behind them, as well as during sunset.
There are a lot of different animals in this park. Especially during dry season (from January to March and from June ot October) the Tarangire river attracts a lot of wildlife. As said, this park is known for its large population of elephants: they are a guaranteed sight in Tarangire National Park. Apart from large trees and large animals, this park is also a paradise for bird watchers; ospreys, secretary birds, parrots, vultures, lovebirds and many more.
From the high bank in the north you have a magnificent view over the rivwer and the savannah with the high grass and the characteristic acacia.
