Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is not only the highest mountain of Africa, it is also the tallest free standing mountain of the World. With 5895 meters, this beautiful mountain is a special challenge but feasible for an experienced walker. All landscapes appear when you walk through wonderful tropical rain-forests and across alpine deserts to the snowy top.
For a trip like this you need a few days to have the best ability to acclimatize properly to the altitude and give you the best chances of reaching the summit. There your reward will be a magnificent view over a big part of East Africa.
We work together with a company affiliated with the KPAP, the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project. They provide their guides and porters with fair wages, good clothing, shoes, food and tents. So when you want to climb Kilimanjaro, you can be sure to be with a great, proven and experienced team! As with most trekkings, the most appropriate form of footwear will be sturdy walking boots. You don’t need specialist equipment or clothing, you only need basic gear of good quality.
