Camping safari
A camping safari is one of the best ways to be close tot the beautiful nature in the parks. The experience of a camping-safari is more intense then a lodge safari; you are 24/7 in the bush! In the the day time is just the same as the most expensive lodge, but at night you are having diner outside under the stars. The French call it “Hotel Mille Etoilles”. The campsites are not surrounded with fences, however, it is completely safe: there are always rangers in the campsite. At night you’ll hear the sounds of the park, from buffaloes to lions, from hyena’s to elephants.
Your personal cook is going to prepare your breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food absolutely equals the food served at the lodges. Our equipment consists of large, heavy canvas safari tents and good matrasses (we can provide stretchers). Although sleeping bags are available, we recommend to bring your own.
A camping safari is a budget-friendly way to make a safari trip. A lodge in the park costs a minimum of $150 per night per person. A camp-site costs $50 per night per person including your cook (In both cases this is exclusive park-costs).
